For each requested document available, you will receive an email to your institutional address (if you are from the university) or to your email address submitted when you registered. If you order 4 items, you will receive 4 different emails.

If there’s a problem with one item, a librarian will contact you by email or phone.

When making your request, you chose a library: your order awaits you at the library reception desk.

You have 5 (working) days to collect it.

Be aware ! Items are not yet on your library account: after collecting your order, you must borrow the documents.

Deadlines

3 scenarios exist:

  • Documents available in your library

The drive allows you to order documents currently available in your library. It is a way to avoid too much passing through the spaces and books handling, in accordance with the sanitary instructions.

Participating libraries: BU Beaulieu, BU Center, BU Villejean Santé

Deadlines: we prepare orders at least once a day on a first come first served basis. Your request can be processed during the day, or the following days depending on the number of requests.

  • Documents available in another library of the University of Rennes

The drive allows you to bring in documents currently available in another library.

Participating libraries: BU Beaulieu, BU Center, BU Villejean Santé, Sciences Po Rennes library, INSA Library, IUT of Lannion Library, GEA-CS Library Paul Le Bohec (IUT of Rennes), Resource Center in languages of SCELVA Beaulieu, ENSSAT Library, SOIE Resource Center.

Deadlines: Documents requested by library drive service are available within 36 hours minimum. The turnaround time may be longer depending on the courier’s circuit and the availability of the requested document Tip: make your request in the morning before 8 a.m. to shorten the time.

  • Request a document borrowed by another user

A document has been checked out by another user : the reservation allows you to have it put aside for you, as soon as it is returned. It is possible for the currently borrowed books, belonging to your library or another library of the University of Rennes. It prevents the current borrower from extending its loan.
