Extended hours will end on Wednesday 31th May 2023 for the academic year 2022-2023. They will resume on Sunday 1st October 2023.

The extended hours are open to everyone.

Opening hours and calendar

The extended opening hours start at the usual closing time of the library: 7pm from Monday to Friday, 5.30pm on Saturday.

Extended evening and weekend opening hours are offered from Monday to Saturday inclusive, from October 1st to May 31th, except on public holidays and when the libraries are closed (end of year holidays, bank holidays).

Planned closure dates in 2022-23
  • End of year closure: from Friday 23th december 2022 to Monday 2nd January inclusive
  • Spring closures: from Saturday 8th to Monday 10th april 2023 inclusive
  • Ascension Day: from Thursday 18th to Sunday 21th May 2023 inclusive
  • Public holidays: November 1st, November 11th , etc.

Seating during extended hours

Some spaces are concerned, not the whole library: the others spaces are closed at 7pm (from Monday to Friday) or at 5.30pm (on Saturday).

No library services (borrowing, copying) are provided during extended hours.

What are these rooms for?

  • Work on your lessons
  • Surfing the internet using wifi
  • Using the computers available in the opened rooms
  • Consulting the books and journals available on the spot
  • Photocoping, printing and scanning
Although they are located within the libraries, the rooms open in extended hours are above all work spaces. No library services are available — you cannot borrow documents or materials, nor inscription. You can use the book drop boxes, located outside the BU, to return your books.
